Actions are also allowed on one or more dwellings or premises in the same building, considered individually or on parts of a building, which will be called Option B.

Eligible actions must fit into one or more of the following typologies:

1. Improvement of the energy efficiency of the thermal envelope: Its objective is to reduce the energy demand in heating and air conditioning of existing buildings, by improving the energy efficiency of its thermal envelope as a whole or in any of the elements that compose it.

2. Improvement of energy efficiency and renewable energy in thermal installations for heating, air conditioning, ventilation and sanitary hot water.

2.1 Substitution of conventional energy for solar energy: Its objective is to reduce the consumption of conventional energy in existing buildings by using thermal solar energy for the production of sanitary hot water and heating in existing buildings.

2.2 Substitution of conventional energy for geothermal energy: Its objective is to reduce the consumption of conventional energy in existing buildings through the use of geothermal energy for one or more of the following uses: heating, air conditioning and production of sanitary hot water.

2.3 Substitution of conventional energy for biomass in thermal installations: Its objective is to reduce the consumption of conventional energy in existing buildings by using biomass as fuel for heating, air conditioning and production of sanitary hot water.

2.4 Improvement of the energy efficiency of the generation systems not included in subtypes 2.1 to 2.3: Its objective is to reduce the energy consumption of the thermal installations of heating, air conditioning, ventilation of existing buildings, through actions in the generation subsystem not included in sections 2.1 to 2.3.

2.5 Improvement of the energy efficiency of the distribution, regulation, control and emission subsystems of the thermal installations: Its objective is to reduce the energy consumption of the thermal installations of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, production of sanitary hot water in existing buildings, through actions in the distribution, regulation, control and emission subsystems.

3. Improvement of the energy efficiency of lighting installations: Its objective is to reduce the energy consumption of the lighting installations of existing buildings.
